Here you will find some questions we have been asked and the answers that have been given. If you cannot find the answer to your question please do not hesitate to e-mail us.

How will my order be shipped?

All orders are shipped out of our warehouse with one of our trusted couriers. Our couriers include Interlink Express, Fedex, UPS and Royal Mail. The courier used to ship your order is determined by ourselves once your order has been placed and normally depends on the size, volume and the shipping destination.

The selected courier for your order will be quoted in your order confirmation email which you will receive once we have processed your order. Once your order has been shipped, this will be confirmed via email and you will receive a tracking number so you can keep an eye on your shipments progress.

All courier services used are express services to ensure you receive your order in a decent time frame from the date of your order being shipped. (UK addresses are normally 1-2 days transit time).

When will my order be shipped?

Items that are labelled as 'In Stock' are shipped within 1 working day. We will do our up most to ship 'In Stock' item/s out same working day providing the order is placed before 2pm (UK time).

Any items that do not have an 'In Stock' label are normally shipped within 1-7 working days from date of order.

Any item that is labelled 'Made to Order' will be shipped out as soon as it has been manufactured and arrives in our warehouse. For a more accurate lead time on 'Made to Order' items, we would recommend that you enquire before placing an order.

Please note that if you order more than one item, your order will only be shipped once all items are ready to be shipped together. We can partially ship orders if requested but please be aware we may need to charge more for shipping.

Q.Which is the best way to find the product I'm interested in?

There are many ways of searching for products on this site. The Products menu at the top left of this window gives access to a list of our products categorised by type / application.   You can also search by keywords

Q.I don't want to give my credit card details over the internet - can I telephone you with them?

Yes - if you would rather give your details to a human being over the phone, please ring our order line. If for any reason you can't get through you can e-mail us, on our enquiry page, with your name, number and a time which is best for you and someone will call you back. Please choose a time when you are available and we are open. You can check this with our time zone link. You can post a cheque to us, request bank details to allow you to make a deposit or send money using a wire transfer via your bank. We can send details to you on request

Q.WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO COMBAT CREDIT CARD FRAUD?

This is a subject close to our heart as we have been scammed by these online fraudsters in the past. To help protect you and us against these people, we have modified our ordering system. We don't take credit cards on line. If we need to confirm with you that your order is genuine, we will call you by telephone. We thank everybody for their understanding and co-operation in helping us to eliminate credit card fraud. None of your details will ever be given to any third-party companies except to investigate a credit card fraud. We also don't accept orders if you use a Yahoo or any other free web-based e-mail addresses as these are sometimes used to try and fraud us. If you have access to the internet then you should have a real e-mail address from your ISP.

Q. I don't have a credit card - how else can I pay?

You can pay by cheque, bank deposit or wire transfer. Simply add the product you wish to purchase to your basket, fill in your details, choose your payment method then press the send order button, once you have completed these steps send payment via cheque through post. For bank deposit or wire transfer the details can be emailed to you.   As soon as we receive payment we will despatch your order. If you would like more help with payment methods e-mail us.

Q. A R Harley & Sons Ltd. Is there any connection with Harley-Davidson Motor Company?

The owner and main director has the name Harley and ancestry going back to the early 1800's. The Davidson name also features in the family history. There is no business connection with Harley-Davidson Motor Company and A R Harley & Sons Ltd
